Let's talk about 'A Man of the People' by Chinua Achebe. Yes, we are going back to the classics. Although if I am going to be honest, when you think about Chinua Achebe, you usually think of 'Things Fall Apart'. I would like to say that this is one of his lesser-known novels. I'm going to be honest with you, it wasn't my favourite when I began, but I became more invested as I went through it. It's not the best book I've read, but it certainly wasn't the worst. It was in the middle for me, but I will definitely continue to read this kind of literature! Again, that's only my opinion, so I'm thinking you'll have to read it yourself to judge it accordingly. Honestly, I loved reading this book so much and I don't understand why I hadn't read it a long time ago. I even have some history on the book. It was written in 1958  Chinua Achebe and has won various awards. This is a great piece of Nigerian Literature. I hope everyone gets to read it. It's a tale of when old traditions meet the new. How you receive them or reject them, how you let others respond to them, and what you do to yourself. I don't know if I'm making sense but you need to read it to truly get it.
