Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe

P.S. This is definitely not the original cover so don't come for meeeee!!!

I recently just finished this book and it's amazing. Honestly, I loved reading this book so much and I don't understand why I hadn't read it a long time ago. I even have some history on the book. It was written in 1958  Chinua Achebe and has won various awards. This is a great piece of Nigerian Literature. I hope everyone gets to read it.

It's a tale of when old traditions meet the new. How you receive them or reject them, how you let others respond to them, and what you do to yourself. I don't know if I'm making sense but you need to read it to truly get it. You need to really enter the mind of the author to understand the meaning of this story you know. Okay, let me give the general overview of the book.

So it was set in the mid-1900s, when the British first came to Nigeria to actually spread their religion and not for the other things they were doing before that. This book shows a before and after of Nigeria and how things were back then/. It proceeds to show how things are going to be. Within the book is 3 parts which show time transitions very accurately and so well and I love that.

Chinua Achebe really took his culture and moulded it into this book. He took what he knew and where he came from and just wrote everything down. I loved this technique. He was just like, "Oh I remember when this happened...let me pen this down" and he did. Chinua Achebe is an award-winning author of multiple awards. Especially for this book. He is recognized all over the world for this literature especially this book. Thus why the African Writer's Series took him up. I am proud to say he has put us on the map for a few things. Props to him for that👍😃.

I hope you decide to pick up this book and read it. It's not that long and it's a very good read. Even if you don't...Hey, I hope you enjoyed my reviewwww😜. Keep reading and writing guysss!!!!!!!!
